The First Covenant Church in Virginia, Minnesota, is proud to announce the recent publication of a Centennial Cookbook commemorating the establishment of the Covenant Church in 1903.
Because food and fellowship have played an important role in the life of First Covenant Church over its one-hundred year history, it is fitting that we publish a cookbook as part of our centennial observance. This cookbook was dedicated to the women, past and present, whose culinary arts have enhanced our Christmas smorgasbord, our Harvest Festival, the Easter breakfast, lunches for funerals and meals for many and varied occasions. |

Some of the recipies in this cookbook are taken from a 1940 Building Fund Cookbook, which was typewritten, had an oil cloth cover, and sold for tyenty-five cents. These recipes may become some of your favorites. For some you will find that new technology has made it possible to delete many of the steps involved, and others you will find just plain amusing.
The, over 500 recipies and tips cookbook, is a vinyl snap-back 3 ring easel binder: bends in the middle and will stand up by itself on the counter. This means less counter space for your cookbook and also makes your cookbook easier to read while cooking. It has 9 colored tabs for easy selection of food categories, table of contents and index, houshold hints, measurements and sayings, and easy to read format.
